Alice had so many firsts here! First jacket, first pants, first arms up, first slide, first swing, first mashudka ride, first step and just this Saturday, first birthday celebration. I didn't think though that celebrating her birthday here would be that hard. Hey, Dan and I are friendly! Kyrgyz are friendly too! In fact, they are hospitable, respectful and willing to serve. That is why even though I don't know any suppliers here, Alice's birthday celebration was a success!
So before I get into the details of Alice's birthday, I just want to thank our Kyrgyz friends who helped us to fold, cut and paste Alice's birthday props. Thank you for helping us carry tables and chairs to the park. Thank you for helping Tina, our Pinoy friend here, cook and prepare our food. And thank you for the friendship!
Special thanks to both my mom and Dan's for being so generous, as always, in providing for Alice's birthday.
High Chair & Outfit
I made Alice's head piece. Pretty big, huh? I just bought some flower fabrics and glue gunned it (if there's such a word) on to the head band.
The Game with a Twist
And since we're Pinoys we made a twist to the game. We brought sack race here in KG! Woohoo!

A Short Letter to Alice
Thank you for coming in our lives. You are indeed a blessing and a reward to us by God! You do not know how much you've changed and are changing my life. I've never felt this kind of love until you came. Having you made me appreciate life more. You made my life so much happier and brighter. You made me more responsible and kind and thoughtful and many more! I still don't know how you do that but I am grateful... so much grateful that you came. I love you so much and I will always be thankful that you're my baby.
